Introduction
Afallon Mon Distillery is based in a refurbished barn which belongs to 18th century on Bedo Farm on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. This farm has a well which is 200 years old. The water which is used for the production of gin is sourced from this well. It is owned by a family named as Owen.
This Welsh Gin distillery was established in the year by two brothers; Gethin Owen and Arwyn Owen alongside two of their friends; Emyr Gibson and Keith Williams. The name of this gin is based on an Arthurian Legend in which Afallon (Avalon) was a mythical island. King Arthur was taken to this island after he was mortally wounded in a battle.
The rest of the word i.e. ‘Mon’ is referred to Anglesey. The Welsh name of this is said to be ‘Ynys Mon’. Recently this welsh gin has received best gin award for the year 2021.

Afallon Mon Gin is very beautifully and mindfully manufactured. It has a particularly balanced nature. Even though it is a complex gin, yet it is not highly over complicated. It is very delicate, flavoursome and hearty. Also, it is of very contemporary nature as it boast a traditional core which is very rare to go unnoticed. When the bottle is opened, you can easily smell on the nose how wealthy the character of this gin is. The aromas are certainly identifiable. When you taste it you will be able to recognize the flavor of orange and lemon citrus. After that you will eventually get a silky smooth take in your mouth full of soft chamomile, gorse and cardamom. All of these complement each other very well. There is some peppery spice touch to the bottle as well. The whole lengthy finish of this gin finished with some warm flavors like florals, cassia, and coriander seeds. The whole bottle is very well balanced with lingering citrus, earthy and savory notes combined together. In also includes juniper oil which function extremely well with the tonic water. It releases the exotic pine notes. The flavor that it holds is essentially strong and the true flavor for any G&T. This bottle of gin is both punchy and soft combined together to give the person a taste of heaven.
